St. Vincent de Paul
The St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Thomas More is committed to living the three guiding principles of its founder, Blessed Frederic Ozanam: spirituality, friendship, and service to those in need. Vincentians strive to grow in spirituality, deepen friendships with each other, and live their baptismal call in loving service to our neighbors in need in Norman and Noble.
Vincentians go in pairs to visit our neighbors in their homes and share the light and hope of Christ with them. Needs are assessed in a caring, confidential, and prayerful way. In addition to help with rent or utility payments, neighbors can also be provided with donated furniture and household items, if needed, and a list of additional community resources.
Our SVdP also co-sponsors Cottage 8 at McKown Village, helps with disaster relief, and coordinates Vincentian Advent, Lenten, and Friends of the Poor Week activities in the parish.

In 1990, St. Thomas More provided $9,000 in rent and utlity assistance.
In gratitude for the generosity of our parishioners, thirty years later we are providing over $85,000 annually in rent and utility assistance.
